"Descendants of Michael Barron" was compiled by a child of Thomas Andrew Barron [perhaps Mary?] around 1997. It includes firsthand and secondhand information from various members of the family. Michael was born about 1850 in Newfoundland, Canada, and died August 1930 in Dunville, Placentia, Newfoundland, Canada. He married Bridget Griffin 1880 in Newfoundland, Canada, daughter of Thomas Griffin and Bridget Evans.
Notes for Bridget Griffin: Bridget Griffin Barron, our grandmother, was one funny lady. Like so many of the Barros, she was funniest when she had no idea she was being funny. After her husband died she went to live with her daughter, Maude, in New York. Every morning, as did most of the Barron women, she went to Mass. She did fine on the way to the church which was quite a distance, but coming home she would always flag down a passing motorist to give her a ride. Sometimes she would arrive back at Maude's house in a Cadillac, and sometimes it would be a garbage truck. Didn't make any difference to her.
She died in New York in January 1941 and is buried in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, New York.
